Resumo: The Holocaust in (dis)course engenders movements of the senses through the silence in relation to the incompleteness of language. The history and the memory of the Holocaust do not do without words, which "are crossed by silence; they produce silence; silence speaks for them; they silence" (ORLANDI, 2002, p. 14). Thus, saying Holocaust or Shoah is not indifferent to the meanings, considering that the designation of events summons, reorganizes, and makes memory domains work (PÊCHEUX, 2002). The designation establishes memory networks based on subjects interpellated by ideology and crossed by the unconscious. Such networks can silence/cover up/delete or presentify/highlight part of memory and history, giving directions to what is said and what is silenced. Therefore, we ask: how, in this discourse, "the silence" and "the shout" constitute sense effects, as (dis)course, "the word in movement?" (ORLANDI, 1999).
