Resumo: How to think, in the historicity of the word, the discursiveness of the malaise that plagues the people of our time whose name is depression? What can we hear when we question, in ordinary linguistic functioning, the discourses and phenomena of classification and revision of diseases? These two questions urge me to think of the word depression as a place of analysis, taking into account the heuristic, material and subjective character of this formulation that occurs in specific production conditions and utterance circumstances in our society.

Estas dos preguntas animarnos a pensar, como lugar de análisis, la palabra depresión, teniendo en cuenta el carácter heurístico, material y subjetivo de este formulación que se da en condiciones de producción y circunstancias de enunciados específicos en nuestra sociedad.Como pensar, na historicidade da palavra, a discursividade do mal-estar que assola as pessoas em nosso tempo, cujo o nome é depressão? O que podemos escutar quando interrogamos, no funcionamento linguístico ordinário, os discursos e fenômenos de classificação e de revisão das doenças?
