Dispersed and articulated discourses: : the brazilian northeast region and the meanings of evidence reproduced in the media

Resumo: This article analyzes statements about the Brazilian Northeastern region and the Northeastern people, which circulate in Brazilian society, specifically in the journalistic media. Such sayings are xenophobic and reproduce effects of evidence about that region of Brazil as a place of economic delay and dependecy, where intellectual production lacks. Analysed materialities revealed a regularity of statements processed in what we call dispersed discourses, which, apparently random, nonetheless repeat themselves, triggering memories and summoning sayings that reinforce the effects of evidence of that the Brazilian Northeast region is and how the Northeastern women and men are.
