Resumo: Despite the interest and enthusiasm shown in France in the field of entertainment arts by aristocratic groups and the Court towards Gypsies, the Declaration of 1682 due to Louis XIV and Colbert against the Bohemians condemns them to life on the galleys. Those whom the marechaussee (stops) arrests, just because they are Bohemians, follow the routes of the chains of convicts (from Paris, Rennes and Bordeaux) who (that) lead them to Marseille in order to serve on the galleys of the Sun King.

Aqueles que a polícia prende, só porque são ciganos, seguem as rotas das cadeias de condenados (de Paris, Rennes e Bordeaux) que os conduzem a Marselha para servir nas prisões do Rei Sol .En dépit de l’intérêt et d’un certain engouement manifestés en France dans le domaine des arts du divertissement par les milieux aristocratiques et la Cour envers les Tsiganes, la Déclaration de 1682 due à Louis XIV et Colbert contre les Bohémiens condamne ces derniers aux galères à perpétuité.
