Resumo: In its editorial policy, Línguas e Instrumentos Linguísticos stands out for prioritizing the publication of reflections on language(s), on linguistic functioning in general, on language technologies and on the history of ideas, concepts and methods of language studies. In this issue, in particular, the preponderance of diverse texts nucleated by this policy that reverberates the centrality of the functioning of language in various linguistic instances is notable.
