Resumo: This text analyzes the process of construction of a national collective identiry in the Soviet Union, such as the one operated in the field of Linguistic and, more amply of the discourse about language. The interest in studying the USSR throught this fact is justified due to the great attention that the soviet political power has constantly given to the questions of language and of linguistics, being the only country in the world which has shot its linguists to death for reasons of language definition. The text analyzes specifically the transition operated between proletarian internationalism in the first years of the soviet regimen and nationalism in the period of Stalin. Through the definition of the relations between Russian and the other languages (from of the Russian nation in relation to the Soviet Union as whole and the foreign world.
