An archaeological perspective of the indstrial landscapes of Fordlandia and Belterra in the Pará Amazon

Resumo: Fordlandia and Belterra share the experience of having been managed by the Ford Motor Company [1927-1945] creating a singular relationship that causes them to be seen often as a single enterprise. Considering that they are two industrial areas with particular and individual characteristics, each with its own specific contexts that are reflected in social relations, memory and project, in this article we seek, through an archaeological perspective, to perceive the differences between the landscapes of these villages in order to better understand how capitalist ideology would have been transformed, negotiated, assimilated or denied, aiming at maintaining the Fordist way of life in both places.

Señalando que se trata de dos áreas industriales con elementos únicos que muestran que cada una de ellas vivió situaciones específicas que se reflejaron en las relaciones, memorias y diferentes proyectos, en este artículo buscamos, a través de una mirada arqueológica, percibir las diferencias entre las paisajes de estos villas de manera de entender mejor cómo la ideología capitalista habría sido transformada, negociada, asimilada o negada, con el objetivo de mantener el modo de vida fordista en ambos lugares.Fordlândia e Belterra compartilham a experiência de terem sido gerenciadas pela Ford Motor Company [1927-1945] e sustentam laços únicos que as fazem ser vistas, muitas vezes, como um projeto só.
