Resumo: Brazilian Archeology is going through a new phase in all its fields: theoretical, methodological, thematic and normative. In this new journey, the importance of an effective inclusion of current societies in research is being persistently placed on the agenda, as opposed to a more technical nature that has always prevailed in this science. In view of this, the contrast between this material and social bias will be presented, having as background a series of data on the Archeology courses of universities and colleges in the Northeast and Southeast - regions in which the oldest courses in the country are located. From these data, it was possible to confirm that some courses are assuming a more social bias in contrast to their historical origin, due to a demand, above all, from undergraduate students and the new approaches that have been emerging in all human sciences.
