Resumo: This article explores women’s presence in archaic and classical Greece through the lens of weaving, a feminine activity. Using material evidence, we will delve into manual weaving work and the significance of this activity for understanding social dynamics related to feminine contexts within spaces of worship, labor, and private household spaces. We present the findings of analyses conducted on loom weights from the Museum of Archeology and Ethnology of the University of São Paulo (MAE-USP) collection, fruit of the undergraduate research project ‘The Loom and the Text: Four Greek Loom Weights at MAE-USP under an Archaeological, Literary, and Historiographical Approach'

Utilizando evidencia material, se presenta el trabajo manual de tejido y la importancia de esta actividad para comprender las dinámicas sociales relacionadas con contextos femeninos en espacios de culto, trabajo y del hogar. Se presentan los hallazgos de análisis realizados sobre la colección de pesas de telar del Museo de Arqueología y Etnología de la Universidad de São Paulo (MAE-USP), que es el resultado del proyecto de iniciación científica ”El telar y el texto: cuatro pesas de telar griegas en MAE-USP bajo un enfoque arqueológico, literario e historiográfico”.O objetivo deste artigo é explorar a presença feminina na Grécia Clássica e Arcaica a partir da tecelagem, que era uma atividade executada por mulheres. A partir da materialidade, apresentaremos o universo do trabalho manual dessa atividade e sua importância para a compreensão de dinâmicas sociais ligadas a contextos femininos em espaços de culto, trabalho e ambientes privados da casa.
