Reabilitação pulmonar em pacientes com DPOC: uma revisão integrativa

Introduction: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a condition with a complex and debilitating evolutionary framework when adequate treatment is not received, directly influencing activities of daily living and the ability to perform physical exercises. In this context, pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) appears as a form of non-drug treatment, which offers circumstantial improvements to the patient who performs it correctly. Objective: to analyze the impact of PR on the lives of patients diagnosed with COPD. Thereunto, a bibliographic review analyzing articles was performed. Method: an integrative review of the subject was carried out, 40 articles were selected, and of these, 20 were excluded due to results that do not fit the selection criteria, such as year or selected theme. Results: the study pointed out that there are different ways of performing PR, which can be at home or at hospital, and can also use alternative tools for its execution, such as different technologies, environmental factors, acupuncture and phytotherapy. Conclusion: home PR methods are as efficient as hospital PR methods, also using alternative ways to monitor, maintain and carry out these PR programs.
