Nowadays, people are more aware of their rights, that is, they are more informed as consumers. Many dentistry professionals do not know their rights and attributions, therefore, they may be legally harmed by their actions. The present work aims to know and discuss the professional rights of dentists in their professional-patient relationship (Diceology) currently in force, as well as to present the current legislation. It consists of a narrative review of the literature that involves the fundamental rights of dentists. Articles available on digital platforms as well as Laws and Precedents of the Federal Constitution were used to prepare the scientific article. It is formidable and essential to inform dentists about their rights so that they can exercise their profession in a safer way, with more ease and awareness of their responsibility and participation in society. In this way, you will be able to fulfill your commitment to the patients that you will care for during your professional life in a responsible and humanized manner. With this study, it can be seen that there are few scientific articles that provide for the presentation and discussion of the rights ofdentistry professionals in light of different civil, administrative, labor and social security legislation.
