A disbiose da microbiota intestinal, sua associação no desenvolvimento de doenças neurodegenerativas e seus possíveis tratamentos

The intestinal microbiota consists of a range of bacteria, which inhabit the digestive tract, which are responsible for various functions such as control of the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms, handling of nutrient absorption and modulation of the immune system. It is possible to find a communication between the intestinal microbiota and the central nervous system through the brainintestine-microbiota axis, being a bidirectional relationship, which can influence the development of pathologies. This research presents as a theme the relationship between dysbiosis and the development of neurodegenerative diseases and their possible treatments. The methodology was based on a literary review built from sources of recent and safe time window. Data collection was performed from articles found in digital databases such as Pubmed, Google academic, Scielo, among others. From the elaboration of this work, it was possible to better understand characteristics inherent to the intestinal microbiota, the understanding between the development of neurodegenerative diseases and the disharmony of the intestinal microbiota; and the role of drug therapies for the possible treatment of these diseases. In addition, it is believed that the present work can significantly aggregate knowledge for science and society, aiming at extending the knowledge on this theme to the health area.
