Internet, relação profissional da saúde e paciente: a percepção de médicos e psicólogos

The possibilities of access to health information on the internet, gave rise to the well-known “Dr. Google ”, creating a patient profile more empowered and informed about their health condition, on the one hand. On the other hand, however, the information is not always beneficial for the patient, depending on his ability to interpret, the quality of the data accessed and the way in which it interferes with his relationship with the health professional. This exploratory, cross-sectional and qualitative study sought to analyze, from the perspective of the health professional, the use of the internet as a mediator in the links between doctor-patient and psychologist-patient. Bardin's content analysis was used to interpret the results of semi-structured interviews. It was found that, from the perspective of doctors and psychologists, the use of the internet can have a negative influence, but in most cases, it is perceived as positive in the relationship with patients.
