Resumo: | Lettuce is a crop of great agronomic importance and is the most cultivated vegetable in Brazil, due to its ease of acquisition and vitamins and minerals present. However, this culture is demanding in nutrients to produce, an alternative to supply the needs of the culture in a sustainable way would be the use of biofertilizers, which are substances produced from live microorganisms that, when applied to seeds, plants or surfaces adjacent to the soil , can colonize the rhizosphere or the interior parts of plants and thus promote the availability of nutrients, such as nitrogen, and or the growth of the plant. Taking into account the need for further studies to improve the use of growth-promoting bacteria in vegetables, this study aimed to evaluate the inoculation of growth-promoting and atmospheric nitrogen-fixing bacteria of the genera Azospirillum and Bacillus in the development and production of plants of Lettuce. The experimental design was completely randomized, with seven treatments and six repetitions per treatment: Witness; Bacillus subtilis (40 ml); Bacillus subtilis (80 ml); Azospirillumbrasilense (50 ml); Azospirillumbrasilense (100 ml); Bacillus subtilis (40 ml) + Azospirillumbrasilense: (50 ml) and Bacillus subtilis (80 ml) + Azospirillumbrasilense: (100 ml). Among the analyzed variables of aerial fresh matter, plant height, root length, plant diameter and number of leaves, it is concluded through this work that inoculation with Azospirillumbrasilense promoted better development of the plant aerial part while inoculation with Bacillus subtilis promoted better development of the root part. |
