Análise de restaurações em dentes posteriores com resina bulk fill com tomografia computadorizada: relato de caso

The pursuit for esthetic dentistry is increasing and leading to the development of Composite Resins, with the improvement of their physical and mechanical properties. Currently, conventional dental composite resins require the insertion of 2,0 mm increments, obliquely touching two walls, performing a restoration in back teeth, thus having a longer clinical work time, turning this technique into a challenge for dental surgeons. Thus, the Bulk-Fill resin has been launched on the market, whitch has a good viscosity which makes it capable of filling an occlusal area in a single step and with a 4,0 to 5,0 mm thick increment. It provides a decrease in runtime and doesn't affect the polymerization shrinkage, with a good cavity adaptation, in addition to promoting a well-placed and long-lasting restoration. However, it must be properly handled. Besides that, it's always important to limit the thickness of the cavity that is going to be restored. To evaluate the contraction factor and how its adaptation is performed on dental wall cavities, Bulk-Fill and conventional dental reins were applied in two distinct cavities in the same patient. Also, computed tomography was utilized, which has among its benefits, analyze the interior of the structures.
