Resumo: The pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the quarantine measures adopted globally had a major impact on collective immunization plans in different countries. The objective of this article is to measure the influence of this scenario on the collective immunization rates in children aged 0 to 4 years in the state of Paraná (located in the southern region of the 4 Brazilian territory) and to understand the possible repercussions for the country. The discussion was guided by an epidemiological, cross-sectional, analytical and retrospective study of data obtained by the Immunization Information System of the Brazilian Unified Health System. The results obtained showed that, in the state of Paraná, there was a significant decrease in the number of vaccinations corresponding to Brazilian vaccination calendar during the quarantine period. Therefore, it was concluded that pandemic poses a risk to public health because it allows the emergence of new outbreaks of previously controlled or eradicated diseases, due to the ineffectiveness of collective immunization.

O objetivo deste artigo é mensurar a influência desse cenário sobre os índices de imunização coletiva em crianças de 0 a 4 anos no estado do Paraná (localizado na região sul do território brasileiro) e compreender as possíveis repercussões para o país. A discussão foi pautada em um estudo epidemiológico, transversal, analítico e retrospectivo de dados obtidos pelo Sistema de Informações de Imunizações do Sistema Único de Saúde do Brasil.
