Resumo: Sustainable buildings are increasingly targeted and acclaimed for their great concern and respect for the environment. Therefore, the following work aims to compare the destination of waste in civil construction, linking it to the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification process. Therefore, the study of this work will be an analysis of a work that seeks LEED Platinum certification and another in which there is no search for the accreditation of this certificate. The methodology of this article consists of a comparative analysis of the two projects, through waste generation spreadsheets, construction site analysis checklist and the final destination of the tailings, seeking the perception of impacts and the point of view regarding sustainability. The results found showed a great difference in the destination and recycling of construction waste in the LEED project, which, through its practices required to obtain the score, in addition to the good practices performed by the construction company, believed the work as sustainable and technologically clean.

Portanto, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo comparar a destinação de resíduos na construção civil, ligando-a ao processo de certificação LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Para tanto, este trabalho analisará uma obra que busca a certificação LEED Platinum e outra na qual não há busca na acreditação deste certificado. A metodologia deste artigo consiste na análise comparativa dos dois empreendimentos, através de planilhas de geração dos resíduos, checklist de análise do canteiro de obras e o destino final dos rejeitos, buscando a percepção sobre os impactos e o ponto de vista com relação à sustentabilidade.
