Project management provides an increase in the company's competitiveness, with a focus on improving and automating processes, aiming to satisfy stakeholders. In particular, time management in projects is essential to ensure the deadlines, costs and quality of deliveries within the scope of the project. MS PROJECT® software is a worldwide known and used tool that allows the creation of schedule, resource management and deliveries. Within this context, this work aims to perform the time management of a project for receiving and delivering books from a private using the MS PROJECT® tool and applying one of the methodologies presented by the PMBOK. During this study, the flows, functionalities and business areas participating in the project were mapped, as well as the schedule was prepared aiming at the five phases of the project, namely: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control and closing, for the realization of time management. It is concluded that this study achieved its objectives and, by carrying out the time management of the project, it was possible to comply with the entire defined scope and meet the indicators of time, cost and quality of the project, generating innovation and market competitiveness for the company.
