Resumo: A bibliographical survey shows the apparent tension between globalization, democracy and sustainability. The solution lies in the possibility of a joint conviviality of the three institutions from the point of view of the relationship between globalization and democracy through sustainability. The development of globalization is thus thought to go beyond the economic dimension, democracy beyond representation and sustainability beyond anthropocentrism. It is thus possible that the three ideals of the French Revolution, Freedom, Equality and Solidarity, foregrounding constitutional principles, will acquire efficaciousness and concreteness.

It is thus possible that the three ideals of the French Revolution, Freedom, Equality and Solidarity, foregrounding constitutional principles, will acquire efficaciousness and concreteness.El presente trabajo, por medio del método de revisión bibliográfica (law on the books), pretende exponer la tensión aparentemente existente entre la globalización, democracia y sostenibilidad. Como solución, apunta la posibilidad de convivencia conjunta de las tres instituciones a partir de la relación entre globalización y democracia hecha por medio de la inserción de la sostenibilidad. Se propone, así, el desarrollo de la globalización allende del antropocentrismo. Así, será posible que los tres ideales de la Revolución Francesa – libertad, igualdad y solidaridad -, que son el trípode de los principios constitucionales sensibles, ganen eficacia y concretización.O presente trabalho, por meio do método da revisão bibliográfica (law on the books), pretende expor a tensão aparentemente existente entre globalização, democracia e sustentabilidade. Como solução, aponta a possibilidade de convivência conjunta das três instituições a partir da angularização da relação entre globalização e democracia a ser feita pela inserção da sustentabilidade. Propõe-se, desse modo, o desenvolvimento da globalização para além da dimensão econômica, da democracia para além da representação e da sustentabilidade para além do antropocentrismo.
