Resumo: | The technological revolution transformed the way dictates how interpersonal relationships, as well as includes a series of benefits, but also a series of duties to be observed by the users of the internet. The objective of the research is to analyze the impacts that the internet has caused in the lives of citizens, as well as to demonstrate the importance of aligning freedom of expression in line with civil rights, since digital citizenship needs to be encouraged by Brazilian institutions, creating, thus, a digital education. It is used in deductive research, in addition to descriptive, documentary and bibliographic methodology. As a result, it is expected to demonstrate the essential role that institutions have for the formation of a generation that has social responsibility in the digital environment. |

La revolución tecnológica ha transformado el modo de cómo se dictan las relaciones interpersonales, trayendo consigo una serie de beneficios, pero también una serie de deberes que deben ser observados por los ciudadanos usuarios de la internet. El objetivo del estudio es analizar los impactos que la internet ocasionó en la vida de los ciudadanos, así como demonstrar la importancia de alinearse la libertad de expresión en consonancia con los derechos de la personalidad, puesto que la ciudadanía digital necesita ser incentivada por las instituciones brasileñas, creando, así, una educación digital. Se utiliza en la investigación el método deductivo, además de la metodología descriptiva, documental y bibliográfica. Como resultado, se espera demostrar el papel esencial que las instituciones detienen para la formación de una generación que posea la responsabilidad social en el medio digital. A revolução tecnológica transformou o modo como se ditam as relações interpessoais, trazendo consigo uma série de benefícios, mas também uma série de deveres a serem observados pelos cidadãos usuários da internet. O objetivo da pesquisa é analisar os impactos que a internet causou na vida dos cidadãos, bem como demonstrar a importância de se alinhar a liberdade de expressão em consonância com os direitos da personalidade, posto que a cidadania digital precisa ser incentivada pelas instituições brasileiras, criando, assim, uma educação digital. Utiliza-se na pesquisa o método dedutivo, além da metodologia descritiva, documental e bibliográfica. Como resultado, espera-se demonstrar o papel essencial que as instituições detêm para a formação de uma geração que possua a responsabilidade social no meio digital.
