Resumo: The dignity of the human being, as a guiding principle of law, has become a major reference to the lawyer today, because it represents the guiding role of the court, which aims to prevail justice. Upon the case analysis it is when effectively expresses the role of principles in a general way. Historically, the human dignity defense was gradually gaining evidence, many fights are set for the achievement to be effective. Make the citizen’s life possible is a state function and it is also assigned the task of providing them this worthy living way. The coexistence in society must be based on respect to the other, the limitations imposed converge towards the common good.

Cuando se realiza el análisis de un caso concreto, se manifiesta, efectivamente, la función de los principios de una forma más general. Históricamente, la defensa de la dignidad de la persona humana fue evidenciándose gradativamente y muchas luchas se han establecido para que esta conquista se efectuase. Posibilitar la vida del ciudadano es responsabilidad del Estado y se le atribuye también la función de proveerle al ciudadano esta vida digna. La convivencia en la sociedad debe de estar pautada en el respeto a los demás, a las limitaciones impuestas convergen para el bien común.A dignidade da pessoa humana, como princípio norteador do direito, tornou-se um dos principais referenciais para o jurista nos dias de hoje, pois ele representa o orientador da atuação jurisdicional, que tem a finalidade de fazer prevalecer a justiça. No momento da análise do caso concreto é que se manifesta efetivamente a função dos princípios de uma forma em geral. Historicamente a defesa da dignidade da pessoa humana foi ganhando evidência gradativamente, muitas lutas se estabeleceram para que a conquista fosse se efetivando. Tornar a vida do cidadão possível é função do Estado e lhe é atribuída também a função de prover-lhe esta vida de maneira digna.
