The Valencia’s Water Court: a debate on the legal nature according to brazilian legislation

Resumo: The purpose of this text is to describe the functioning of Court, highlighting, especially, the peculiarities of the procedural rite, to then answer the following research problem: how can the ritual developed at the Court of Waters of Valencia be classified according to the Brazilian legislation? Initially, the hypothesis pointed to the institute of conflict mediation. However, in the end, it can be seen that the procedure developed before the Water Court constitutes a hybrid system of means of conflict resolution. For this, the monographic procedure method was used, with the technique of bibliographic research. The approach method was inductive, since the study has as its starting point the specific analysis of the Valencian court.
