Resumo: | The aim of this research is to review the main differences in endodontic treatments with the use of mechanized rotary instruments, reciprocating instruments and manual systems, their efficiency during treatments and their assets and liabilities for the dentist. Knowing that, there are several options of these systems in the dental market, it is of great importance to analyze and study each one, for the best choice during endodontic treatment and re-treatment, allowing the professional to choose the best technique and the instrument that fits better to him and the patient, allowing more efficiency in the treatment. With these research, it was found that most benefits in using of mechanized instruments in the treatment and re-treatment of root canals, once they have speed and more significant results during these treatments compared with manual instruments, in which the removal of gutta-percha on root canal instrumentation makes the dentist's doings more difficult and slower. Although, it was also found that each technique has its benefits, and it isn't always the one that presented the least significant results to be inferior for the treatments. It may still be relevant and useful in certain cases |
