Resumo: This work aims to review the literature on the development of Ramsay Hunt syndrome after the individual acquires or is vaccinated against COVID-19. In this way, a survey was carried out on the historical context in the health area about the Syndrome, describing this disease and how it manifests itself, as well as, regarding vaccines, detailing its emergence and its physiology, and about COVID-19. 19. It was found that the Varicella Zoster virus is responsible for causing Ramsay Hunt Syndrome and several other cutaneous manifestations, usually acquired in childhood through contact with chickenpox, and, even after healing, it remains latent in the organism, and can be reactivated at any time during life in healthy adults or, mainly, in those with comorbidities. Therefore, it has been proposed that the SARS-CoV-2 virus favors the emergence of new cases related to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
