This study aims to evaluate the quantities of solid bulk handled in the period from 2015 to 2019 in the port of Aratu, Candeias, BA. The knowledge of these data will help to understand the operational efficiency of the port in relation to other Brazilian ports. The study begins by defining port logistics, water transport, loading or unloading board, accommodation and other fundamental concepts for understanding the work. In this study, the port indicators in the studied period will be addressed, such as: annual and monthly average number of ships, number of tons handled annually, average monthly board, average time for berthing in hours, average operational cost per berthing, importance and percentage weight of fertilizers and copper with their concentrates, will be addressed in this work. The main objective is to carry out an analysis of the quantities loaded and unloaded of solid bulk in the port of Aratu between 2015 and 2019, in order to compare its growth or decrease and its operational indicators. The approached results of the indicators will show that in the period from 2015 to 2017 there was an increase in the amount handled and that from 2017 to 2019 the opposite happened.
