Atuação dos profissionais de enfermagem no manejo do paciente oncológico hospitalizado: uma revisão integrativa

Resumo: To describe how nursing care has been given to hospitalized cancer patients. Method: This is an integrative review study formed by a bibliographic survey. Data collection occurred in the year 2022, in the SciELO, PubMed, Lilacs and BDENF databases, in the last ten years, between January 2012 and October 2022. Screening and choosing articles were through inclusion and exclusion criteria pre-established by the researcher and organized through the PRISMA flow diagram. 10 articles were included at the end of the research. Conclusion: The results of this research pointed out the complexity of the management of cancer patients, indicating several aspects in the area of care, demonstrating the difficulties in dealing with individuals who live with the uncertainty of a lifetime and fear of the proximity of death. The research showed the perceptible need for specialized attention and care in oncological pain since it is predominant in individuals with cancer. Moreover, among the studies, humanized care is highlighted in all care practices, which, in turn, demonstrated relevance for the patient's comfort.

Método: Trata-se de um estudo de revisão integrativa, que é formado por um levantamento bibliográfico. A coleta de dados ocorreu no ano de 2022, nos bancos de dados SciELO, PubMed, Lilacs e BDENF, no período dos últimos dez anos, entre janeiro de 2012 e outubro de 2022. A triagem e escolha dos artigos foram elaboradas por meio de critérios de inclusão e exclusão pré-estabelecidos pela pesquisadora e organizados através do PRISMA flow diagram, sendo que ao final da pesquisa, 10 artigos foram incluídos nesta revisão. Conclusão: Os resultados desta pesquisa apontaram a complexidade do manejo ao paciente oncológico, indicando diversos aspectos na área do cuidar, demonstrando as dificuldades em lidar com indivíduos que convivem com a incerteza do tempo de vida e medo da proximidade da morte.
