Periodontal disease and obesity are multifactorial and complex chronic inflammatory diseases, where in recent decades they have increased considerably, leading to the belief that there is a positive relationship between them. Furthermore, there are reports that vitamin D interacts with the immune system, with immunomodulatory effects on cells. The present study aims to analyze and evaluate macroscopically and microscopically rat jaws and the relationship between vitamin D3 intake, with periodontitis installed in both obese animals and animals that received diet and its result in alveolar bone loss. Data collection resulted from experiments previously carried out in Wistar rats, obtained from the (NAEVI), UEPG, that at 21 days of life were obtained by the vivarium placed in boxes and separated into groups, being: control group, control group with vitamin D3, obese without Vit D3 and obese with Vit D3, on the 91st day of life, they were euthanized. Biological materials were collected for analysis. Among the variables to be studied, the analysis of alveolar bone loss will be considered as the main parameter. As a result, two-way ANOVA showed that there was no interaction between cafeteria diet and vitamin D³ supplementation.
