Resumo: Purpose: The purpose of the present article is to approach aspects associated to Kinesio Taping as an aid in the treatment of oral motor dysfunction on infants. Method: Literature review focusing on the management of Kinesio taping in infants using scientific articles, theses, books and national and internacional publications. Results: Was found one thousand and sixty five articles releated to Kinesio Taping in other contexts like sports, muscle injuries, etc, being just five selected to the analysis. The oral motor dysfunctions directly affect the oral nourshiment of infants imparing their entire nutritional, physiological, immunological, psychosocial developtment. Health professionals that can intervene in these cases use appropriate techniques to treat patients and the Kinesio Taping is a new resource for clinical management in these infants, bringing satisfactory results in a shorter period of time. Conclusion: The Kinesio Taping has been shown to be effective in the treatment of infants with oral motor dysfunctions, and may contribute to speech therapy with the proper managment of this resource.

Método: Revisão bibliográfica com enfoque no manejo da bandagem elástica em lactentes utilizando artigos científicos, teses, livros e publicações nacionais e internacionais. Resultado: Foram encontrados mil oitocentos e sessenta e cinco artigos que se tratavam sobre a bandagem elástica em outros contextos como esportes, lesões musculares, entre outros sendo apenas cinco selecionados para a análise que se encaixam no tema. As disfunções motoras orais afetam diretamente na alimentação via oral dos lactentes prejudicando todo o seu desenvolvimento nutricional, fisiológico, imunológico, psicossocial. Os profissionais de saúde que podem intervir nesses casos utilizam de técnicas adequadas para tratar os pacientes sendo a bandagem elástica um novo recurso para o manejo clínico desses lactentes, trazendo resultados satisfatórios e positivos em menos tempo.
