Resumo: The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the residual effect of Stevia rebaudiana´s (Bert.) Bertoni compound and the chicken´s organic residue in development and productivity of maize culture. The treatments were performed with two doses that are 10 and 20 T ha-1. We used four concentration of decomposed residue (100% S. rebaudiana´s compound; 75% S. reubadiana´s compound plus 25% chicken´s organic residue; 50% S. reubadiana´s compound plus 50% chicken's organic residue, and 25% S. reubadiana´s compound plus 75% chicken´s organic residue without fertilization). The experimental design was in randomized blocks, including nine treatments and three repetitions with fragments of 15 m2 . The results were submitted to Tukey´s statistical test considering 5% of probability. The parameters evaluated were the height of the plant (HP); the number of leaves (NL), the size of corn cob (SCC); the weight of corn cob (WCC); the diameter of corn cob (DCC) and the average productivity per hectare (APH). In addition, it was verified that the fertilizing with S. rebaudiana´s compound combines with chicken´s organic residue provided a significant increase of analyzed parameters; on the other hand, the height of the plant did not present statistical difference. However, the treatments by which had more emphasis on the statistical analysis were the treatments T8 and T6. The T8 (composting with 25% S. rebaudiana´s residue plus 75% of chicken's organic residue - 20 T ha-1 dose) was more expressive in relation to HP, NL, and SCC, further the T6 (composting with 50% S. rebaudiana´s residue plus 50% chicken´s organic residue - 20 T ha-1 dose) had more correlated results in WCC, DCC, and APH.
