Boilers are essential equipment in all production processes that need steam to perform the activities. However, the presence of these machines represents an eminent risk for people and for the environments in which they are inserted, whether during their installation, operation or maintenance. In this way, the present work aims to ascertain and evaluate, by means of a qualitative methodology, the working conditions based on Regulatory Norms No. 13 and to demonstrate the primary procedures for the effective operation of the boilers, ensuring the preservation of the working environment and the safety of employees. The relevance of this work is related to the need to provide the awareness of the entrepreneurs regarding the benefits that the fulfillment of the safety conditions brings to the company. In addition, it is important to emphasize that the knowledge of the laws and norms established by NR-13 guarantees the protection of human lives and the environment from possible damage that these generators have the potential to cause, such as irreversible damage to people and the establishment.
