Análise da saúde bucal de pessoas em situação de rua do município de maringá e a efetividade do atendimento público odontológico a essa população

Homeless people are made up of people who have extreme poverty in common, broken or weakened bonds and the absence of regular conventional housing. This research aimed to characterize this population in Maringá-PR, verifying their access to oral health services. This is a quantitative / exploratory research, it was carried out through the analysis of electronic medical records and odontograms performed manually and electronically over a period of 12 months. Oral health guidance was also provided for homeless people (PSR). The collected data were computed in an Excel spreadsheet for statistical analysis. The results obtained, in this work, will serve to support the Maringá public policy for the dental care of this population. Between 2018 and 2020 there were 775 homeless people (PSR) in Maringá. Difficulties were observed in forming bonds in treatments, which makes to be difficult to complete dental treatments. Of the 775 people evaluated, only the age of 761 was analyzed, which was on average 41.2 years (± 11.9). Most of the people evaluated are male (87.5%). Although much information was not included in the medical records, only 2.2% declared they were non-smokers, 2.6% declared that they didn`t consume alcoholic beverages and 4.5% declared that they didn`t use illicit drugs. Of the medical records that could be adopted and that went through dental care, only 5.8% (n = 44) went through 2 to 5 consultations. In this sense, it is noted that it is necessary to expand and improve health care to the PSR.
