Child development is a dynamic and multidimensional process, which must be carefully monitored, since delays in this process may be signs of risk for neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The dissemination of scientific information about child development and the warning signs for ASD to be observed by parents is extremely important, since it can reduce the number of late diagnoses, guide the need for professional help and bring broad benefits to the child. The aim of this article was to develop a guidance booklet for parents on developmental milestones and manifestations of ASD in early childhood. This is a methodological research, which was conducted in stages for the preparation of the text. The content of the booklet was prepared on a scientific basis, through a literature review. The final product is freely accessible, is divided into 5 topics for greater dynamism and simplicity and was prepared in an objective and easy-to-understand language. It is believed that this educational material will become an important tool to help parents, in providing guidance on developmental milestones and manifestations of ASD in early childhood, facilitating the learning process and health promotion.
