Resumo: To evaluate the environmental differences between the region upstream and downstream of dams, we aimed to inventory and to compare the ichthyofauna and the ecological parameters in two sampled areas (córrego Japira, upstream, and córrego Água do Xaxim, downstream of the dams), located in the rio Tibagi basin, system of upper rio Paraná basin. The ecological parameters used were: abundance, species richness and diversity, evenness and dominance. We used an ANOVA to compare the ecological parameters between the streams. There was great dominance of Poecilia reticulata in both streams, but the córrego Água do Xaxim showed higher values of richness, diversity, and evenness and lower values of abundance and dominance compared to the córrego Japira values. Only the abundance (p = 0.0049), evenness (p = 0.0190) and dominance (p = 0.0392) showed significant differences between the streams. Furthermore, the environmental quality of the córrego Água do Xaxim was preserved, while the córrego Japira  was impacted. The differences between the parameters associated with the environmental quality damaged by the dam, led us to infer that the córrego Japira has been suffering with ecological impacts and emphasizes the need for conservation actions. Keywords: Upper rio Paraná basin, upstream, downstream, ecological parameters.

Palavras-chave: Bacia do alto rio Paraná, montante, jusante, parâmetros ecológicos.Universidade Federal do AmapáFundação Araucária, CAPES, CNPqTozzo, Robson AlexandreFrota, AugustoOta, Renata Rúbiade Souza, Fagner2017-12-31info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtigo Avaliado pelos Paresapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/309610.18561/2179-5746/biotaamazonia.v7n4p1-5Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota); v. 7, n. 4 (2017); 1-52179-5746reponame:Biota Amazôniainstname:Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)instacron:UNIFAPporhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/3096/v7n4p1-5.pdfhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/downloadSuppFile/3096/452Direitos autorais 2017 Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota)http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2018-03-20T19:55:42Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/3096Revistahttp://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biotaONGhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/oai||juliosa@unifap.br2179-57462179-5746opendoar:2018-03-20T19:55:42Biota Amazônia - Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)false
