Resumo: This study aimed to verify the students’ perception, from a public school in the county of Macapá, Amapá, about frog malformations and its relationship with the environment. For this, we used as educational resources for data collection two questionnaires, lecture, practical class, and the playful teaching to improve the teaching-learning concepts. Two classes were selected from the high school, totaling 41 students. The research was exploratory, and the data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results show that about 87% (N = 36) of the students have no knowledge of frog malformations, and 78% (N = 32) do not have the necessary knowledge in Environment Education. However, it was observed that after the lecture, practical class, and playful teaching, students’ knowledge became broader. The lecture was important because it addresses the importance of environmental conservation, as well as the demystification of some anuran beliefs. The practical class dealt with all the concepts seen in the lecture in-depth, in which students had the opportunity of visual contact with some malformed specimens. It was observed that in the playful teaching the interaction between the students was greater, allowing the fixation of the concepts more effectively. Keywords: Amphibians; morphological abnormality; environmental education.

Universidade Federal do AmapáPedroso-Santos, FillipeCosta-Campos, Carlos Eduardo2023-06-02info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtigo Avaliado pelos Paresapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/610510.18561/2179-5746/biotaamazonia.v13n1p10-15Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota); v. 13, n. 1 (2023); 10-152179-5746reponame:Biota Amazôniainstname:Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)instacron:UNIFAPporhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/6105/v13n1p10-15.pdfhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/downloadSuppFile/6105/1030Direitos autorais 2023 Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota)http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-12-31T14:31:54Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/6105Revistahttp://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biotaONGhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/oai||juliosa@unifap.br2179-57462179-5746opendoar:2023-12-31T14:31:54Biota Amazônia - Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)false
