Resumo: Voyria is a genus with about 19 species, 12 of which are known from Brazil. Voyria tenella is known in Brazil in the North region, part of the Northeast, and Espírito Santo, São Paulo e Santa Catarina states. In this short commnication, V. tenella is presented as a new record for the state of Maranhão, expanding the occurrence of the species in the Brazil.Keywords: area of Endemism Belém; myco-heterotrophic; saprophyte.
