Resumo: Adelphobates galactonotus is a poison frog endemic of the Brazilian Amazon. It can be found in areas recently cleared and burnt areas, near fallen trees, in sun-exposed clearings, and forest edges, but always on the ground or on fallen tree trunks. Although Dendrobatids are well known for arboreal behavior, especially in captivity, to date, for A. galactonotus there has been no mention, in the scientific literature, of the use of arboreal habitat or of his ability to climb trees. Here, I present the first record, in nature, of arboreal habitat use by Adelphobates galactonotus. Keywords: Behavior; Dendrobatids; History natural; Microhabitat; eastern Amazon.

Universidade Federal do AmapáConselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq, Processes 131905/2013-9, 155556/2018-5)Benício, Ronildo Alves2021-01-02info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/583410.18561/2179-5746/biotaamazonia.v10n3p65-66Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota); v. 10, n. 3 (2020); 65-662179-5746reponame:Biota Amazôniainstname:Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)instacron:UNIFAPenghttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/5834/v10n3p65-66.pdfDireitos autorais 2021 Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota)http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2021-01-13T23:24:24Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/5834Revistahttp://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biotaONGhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/oai||juliosa@unifap.br2179-57462179-5746opendoar:2021-01-13T23:24:24Biota Amazônia - Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)false
