Resumo: Community Health Agents (CHA) are professionals who are part of the health team of the Family Health Strategy Program (ESF). ACS's work takes place in communities in contact with the population, in their family nuclei. However, the objective of this study is to report the experience of students participating in the Teaching through Work Program, based on an activity carried out with ACS and to describe the main difficulties in their performance in the micro areas of an ESF in the city of Belém. For better systematization, the survey of demands regarding the performance of the ACS was divided into 5 stages: in the first stage, the spaces and services offered by the nurse responsible to the university students were presented. In the second stage, there was the presentation of the team's CHA and the organization of the activity to survey the unit's demands. In the third and fourth stages, the activity systematized by the students was carried out. The fifth stage included the organization of strategies to be inserted in the unit to improve the service. From the performance of the activity, it was found that the main difficulties identified by the ACS in this territory were: absence of protective materials, absence of welcome and lack of interest from the population, personal problems, work overload, absence of infrastructure and training. The objective of this study was achieved. However, there is a weakness in public investments in health. However, it is important to have constant training for these professionals, aiming at improving the service to the population.

Todavia, é importante haver constante capacitação a estes profissionais, visando a melhoria do atendimento à população.Research, Society and Development2020-08-14info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/675210.33448/rsd-v9i9.6752Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 9; e162996752Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 9; e162996752Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 9; e1629967522525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/6752/6294Copyright (c) 2020 José Victor Dos Santos Rodrigueshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessRodrigues, José Victor Dos SantosSantos, Belciane do Socorro Barbosa dos Monteiro, Evelyn da Silva Garcez, Juliana Conceição Dias 2020-09-18T01:42:11Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/6752Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:29:45.575989Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
