Health education actions for the elderly in Primary Health Care: an integrative review

Resumo: | The aim of this study is to carry out an integrative literature review on health education for the elderly in the context of primary health care. To answer the research question - how is health education related to the health of the elderly being carried out in the context of primary health care, bibliographic data were collected in the Scientific Electronic Library Online Literature, Latin American and Caribbean databases in Health Sciences, Virtual Health Library, the PubMed search portal of the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online database and the journal portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel. Articles published in Portuguese, English or Spanish and available in full between 2016 and 2021 were considered. After analyzing the 14 selected studies, the publications were divided into health education aimed at the elderly and health professionals. When answering the research question, results were obtained that deviate from the ideal proposal in the context of public health, but that the objective is being pursued and implemented in primary health care. With this, it was possible to infer the great importance that the components of primary care have in relation to health education in the context of elderly health, for example, practices based on the subject's clinic, under the biopsychosocial model; multidisciplinarity and comprehensive care. In addition, the difficulties and impasses that the teams have to offer comprehensive care were described. |

Para responder a la pregunta de investigación - ¿cómo se relaciona la educación en salud con la salud de los ancianos en el contexto de la atención primaria de salud, se recolectaron datos bibliográficos en la Biblioteca Electrónica Científica de Literatura en Línea, bases de datos de América Latina y el Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud, Virtual Health Library, el portal de búsqueda PubMed de la base de datos del Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online y el portal de revistas de la Coordinación para la Mejora del Personal de Educación Superior. Se consideraron los artículos publicados en portugués, inglés o español y disponibles íntegramente entre 2016 y 2021. Tras analizar los 14 estudios seleccionados, las publicaciones se dividieron en educación para la salud dirigida a personas mayores y profesionales de la salud. Al responder a la pregunta de investigación se obtuvieron resultados que se desvían de la propuesta ideal en el contexto de la salud pública, pero que el objetivo se persigue e implementa en la atención primaria de salud. Con esto, se pudo inferir la gran importancia que tienen los componentes de la atención primaria en relación a la educación para la salud en el contexto de la salud del anciano, por ejemplo, las prácticas basadas en la clínica del sujeto, bajo el modelo biopsicosocial; multidisciplinariedad y atención integral. Además, se describieron las dificultades e impasses que tienen los equipos para ofrecer una atención integral.O objetivo desse estudo é realizar uma revisão de literatura integrativa acerca da educação em saúde do idoso no contexto da atenção primária à saúde. Para responder a pergunta de pesquisa - como está sendo realizada a educação em saúde, relativa à saúde do idoso, no contexto da atenção primária à saúde os dados bibliográficos foram levantados nas bases de dados Scientific Eletronic Library Online Literatura, Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, o portal de busca PubMed da base de dados Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online e o portal de periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior. Os artigos publicados em português, inglês ou espanhol e disponíveis na íntegra, entre os anos de 2016 e 2021 foram considerados. Após análise dos 14 estudos selecionados, as publicações foram divididas em educação em saúde voltada para o idoso e para o profissional de saúde. Ao responder à pergunta de pesquisa obtiveram-se resultados que se afastam da proposta ideal no contexto de saúde pública, mas que o objetivo está sendo buscado e implementado na atenção primária à saúde. Com isso, foi possível inferir a grande importância que os componentes da atenção primária possuem em relação à educação em saúde no contexto da saúde do idoso como, por exemplo, as práticas pautadas na clínica do sujeito, sob o modelo biopsicossocial; a multidisciplinaridade e integralidade do cuidado.
