Health promotion and prevention of cervical cancer: strategies used by nurses

Resumo: | Objective: to analyze the care carried out for the promotion of Health in the prevention of uterine cancer by nurses in Primary Health Care according to the Ministerial protocol. Methodology: a field research with a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory approach is specialized. The study was carried out with ten nurses linked to the Family Health Strategy Teams in a city in the Central Region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. The selection occurs at random through a draw. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews. The results obtained in the data collection were produced according to Minayo's content analysis. Results: three categories resulted. Health promotion as a nursing care strategy; Nursing care based on the Ministry of Health protocol; Access to services as a nursing care strategy. It is perceived that among nurses, care reveals a very heterogeneous work process, and the promotion and prevention of cervical cancer occurs in an uneven and fragmented way. Final considerations: for effective care as women, it is necessary that permanent health education be guided by changes, permeated with senses and meanings so that care is guided by scientific evidence and based on the official protocols instituted. |

Metodología: se desarrolló una investigación de campo con enfoque cualitativo, descriptivo y exploratorio. El estudio se llevó a cabo con diez enfermeras vinculadas a los Equipos de Estrategia de Salud de la Familia en una ciudad de la Región Central del Estado de Rio Grande do Sul. La selección se realizó al azar. La recolección de datos se realizó mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los resultados obtenidos en la recolección de datos se analizaron según el análisis de contenido de Minayo. Resultados: resultaron tres categorías. Promoción de la salud como estrategia de cuidados de enfermería; Atención de enfermería basada en el protocolo del Ministerio de Salud; El acceso a los servicios como estrategia de cuidados de enfermería. Se percibe que entre las enfermeras, la atención revela un proceso de trabajo muy heterogéneo, y la promoción y prevención del cáncer de cuello uterino se da de manera desigual y fragmentada. Consideraciones finales: para una atención eficaz a la mujer, es necesario que la educación en salud permanente sea guiada por cambios, impregnada de sentidos y significados para que la atención esté guiada por la evidencia científica y basada en los protocolos oficiales instituidos.Objetivo: analisar os cuidados realizados para a promoção da saúde na prevenção do câncer do colo do útero pelos enfermeiros na Atenção Primária à Saúde conforme protocolo Ministerial. Metodologia: trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo de abordagem qualitativa, descritiva e exploratória. O estudo foi realizado com dez enfermeiras vinculadas às equipes de Estratégia Saúde da Família de um município da região central do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. A seleção, ocorreu de forma aleatória através de sorteio. A coleta de dados foi realizada a partir de entrevista semiestruturada. Os resultados obtidos na coleta de dados foram analisados de acordo com análise de conteúdo de Minayo. Resultados: resultaram três categorias. A promoção da saúde como estratégia de cuidado de enfermagem; O cuidado de enfermagem a partir do protocolo do Ministério da Saúde; O acesso aos serviços como estratégia de cuidado de enfermagem. Percebe-se que entre as enfermeiras, o cuidado desvela-se um processo de trabalho bastante heterogêneo, sendo que a promoção e a prevenção do câncer do colo do útero ocorrem de forma desigual e fragmentada.
