Intermodal logistics in the state of Rio Grande do Norte: an exploratory study

Resumo: This paper aims to present the obstacles and challenges for the development of logistic integration in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. For this, an exploratory study was carried out with the use of the content analysis technique in which three professionals were interviewed who work or have already worked directly with the road, sea and air modalities within the state and who are experts in the area, being made the analysis of the theoretical convergence with the speeches of the subjects. As a result, it was obtained that the poor infrastructures of access and pathways to reach the port and airport are the main obstacles for intermodality followed by the lack of the modal rail for the movement of cargoes within the state of Rio Grande do Norte.

Para ello, se realizó un estudio exploratorio con la utilización de la técnica de análisis de contenido en el cual fueron entrevistados tres profesionales que trabajan o ya trabajaron directamente con los modales de carretera, marítimo y aéreo dentro del estado y que son especialistas en el área, siendo hecha a el análisis de la convergencia teórica con las palabras de los sujetos. Como resultado se obtuvo que las malas infraestructuras de accesos y vías de paso para llegar al puerto y aeropuerto son los principales obstáculos para la intermodalidad seguidos de la falta de actuación del modal ferroviario para el movimiento de cargas dentro del estado de Rio Grande do Norte.O presente trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar os entraves e desafios para o desenvolvimento da integração logística no estado do Rio Grande do Norte. Para isso, foi realizado um estudo exploratório com a utilização da técnica de análise de conteúdo no qual foram entrevistados três profissionais que trabalham ou já trabalharam diretamente com os modais rodoviário, marítimo e aéreo dentro do estado e que são especialistas na área, sendo feita a análise da convergência teórica com as falas dos sujeitos.
