Introduction: Diastema has an unfavorable impact on the appearance of patients. Many people with diastema seek treatment in the dental area, aiming at aesthetics and a good appearance. Objective: The objective of this work is to emphasize the importance of using the wall technique in masticatory resistance, using composite resin to fill the interdental space. Methodology: Therefore, we carried out a data search as a method, on the literature review research through the subject addressed in the theoretical framework, on the effectiveness of the composite resin, used in the wall technique and its advantages in the treatment of diastema closure. Results: One of the very effective treatment alternatives for diastema closure is the use of the wall technique associated with the use of composite resin. Results and discussions: It is a minimally invasive treatment, with low cost, short clinical time, which can be solved in just one session and with good longevity. This technique has achieved excellent results during treatment. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be stated that the proposed treatment for diastema closure obtains a satisfactory result, restoring shape, aesthetics, self-esteem and restoring function and phonetics; since, a harmonious smile improves social opportunities and raises self-esteem.
