Impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the learning of children and adolescents

Resumo: | In 2019, the world became aware of the “severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2” (SARS-CoV-2). The SARS-CoV-2-associated disease “coronavirus disease 2019” (COVID-19), which has become the biggest current public health problem, was declared a pandemic on March 11, 2020. The consequences of this pandemic were felt in important areas. society, such as education. Therefore, this study aimed to describe the main impacts on the teaching and learning of children and adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. A systematic review was carried out on articles published in the journals platform of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Level - CAPES, in the LitCOVID database of the National Library of Medicine with a search until March 8, 2021, where articles that were selected for evaluation were selected for evaluation. contained the descriptors "schools", "closing, reopening, repercussions, learning losses" and "COVID-19, impacts of the pandemic, Coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2". They highlighted as impacts, the social crisis, the health crisis, ruptures in the educational process, the exclusion of students due to the low power of acquisition of technologies necessary for remote classes, the latent inequality, the damage in obtaining the contents these negatively affect the process of teaching and learning during the pandemic. This process was abruptly interrupted and attempts to continue educational activities were not adequate to provide quality education. The health crisis aggravated the existing social crisis in Brazil, social isolation was definitive. The rupture and vulnerabilities weakened learning, making it difficult to establish knowledge and continue in educational and curricular training. |

Las consecuencias de esta pandemia se sintieron en áreas importantes sociedad, como la educación. Por lo tanto, este estudio tuvo como objetivo describir los principales impactos en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de niños y adolescentes durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Se realizó una revisión sistemática de artículos publicados en la plataforma de revistas de la Coordinación de Perfeccionamiento de Nivel Superior - CAPES, en la base de datos LitCOVID de la Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina con una búsqueda hasta el 8 de marzo de 2021, donde se seleccionaron artículos para evaluación. fueron seleccionados para evaluación contenían los descriptores “escuelas”, “cierre, reapertura, repercusiones, pérdidas de aprendizaje” y “COVID-19, impactos de la pandemia, Coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2”. Resaltaron como impactos, la crisis social, la crisis sanitaria, las rupturas en el proceso educativo, la exclusión de los estudiantes por el bajo poder de adquisición de tecnologías necesarias para las clases a distancia, la desigualdad latente, el perjuicio en la obtención de los contenidos estos afectan negativamente el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje durante la pandemia. Este proceso se interrumpió abruptamente y los intentos de continuar las actividades educativas no fueron los adecuados para brindar una educación de calidad. La crisis sanitaria agravó la crisis social existente en Brasil, el aislamiento social fue definitivo. La ruptura y las vulnerabilidades debilitaron los aprendizajes, dificultando asentar conocimientos y continuar en la formación educativa y curricular.Em 2019, o mundo tomou conhecimento da “severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2” (SARS-CoV-2). Os reflexos dessa pandemia foram percebidos em áreas importantes da sociedade, como a educação. Por isso, este estudo objetivou descrever os principais impactos sobre o ensino e aprendizagem de crianças e adolescente durante a pandemia da COVID-19. Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática em artigos publicados na plataforma de periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Nível Superior- CAPES, na base LitCOVID da National Library of Medicine com busca até o dia oito de março de 2021, onde foram selecionados para a avaliação, artigos que continham os descritores "escolas", “fechamento, reabertura, repercussões, perdas de aprendizado” e "COVID-19, impactos da pandemia, Coronavírus, SARS-CoV-2". Destacaram como impactos, a crise social, a crise sanitária, rupturas no processo educacional, a exclusão de alunos devido ao baixo poder de aquisição de tecnologias necessárias para aulas remotas, a desigualdade latentes, o prejuízo na obtenção dos conteúdos estes afetam negativamente o processo de ensinar e aprendizagem durante a pandemia. Tal processo foi interrompido abruptamente e as tentativas de continuidade das atividades educacionais não foram adequadas para propiciar um ensino de qualidade. A crise sanitária agravou a crise social já existente no Brasil, o isolamento social foi definitivo.
