Resumo: Violence affects the dignity of professionals in the world, as a source of inequality, discrimination, stigmatization and conflict at work. Violence, whether physical or psychological, is a problem that crosses borders, work contexts and groups of professionals. The objective was to identify the most frequent types of occupational violence suffered by nursing workers and how the risks can affect the work process. This is an exploratory type research with a qualitative approach, with the emergency sector of a University Hospital located in the interior of Rio de Janeiro as its scenario. Eighteen nursing professionals participated, of both sexes. Using a questionnaire to obtain the data. The ethical aspects of the research were respected, approved with opinion number 3,295,302. With data treatment through analytical reading of data based on the Bardin Content Analysis framework and the current guidelines of the Ministry of Health on Violence at Work in the Health Sector. The results demonstrate how much exposure of the professional to numerous types of violence, verbal, physical, rudeness, name calling, psychological, tooth others. Finally, violence in the work environment makes nursing professionals vulnerable to developing health problems, involving physical and / or psychological problems, which can influence the performance of the chores and routines of their work and also in their care.

La violencia, ya sea física o psicológica, es un problema que cruza fronteras, contextos de trabajo y grupos de profesionales. El objetivo fue identificar los tipos más frecuentes de violencia laboral que sufren los trabajadores de enfermería y cómo los riesgos pueden afectar el proceso de trabajo. Esta es una investigación de tipo exploratoria con un enfoque cualitativo, con el sector de emergencias de un Hospital Universitario ubicado en el interior de Río de Janeiro como escenario. Participaron 18 profesionales de enfermería, de ambos sexos. Usando un cuestionario para obtener los datos. Los aspectos éticos de la investigación fueron respetados, aprobados con la opinión número 3.295.302. Con el tratamiento de datos mediante la lectura analítica de los datos basada en el marco de análisis de contenido de Bardin y las directrices actuales del Ministerio de Salud sobre la violencia en el trabajo en el sector de la salud. Los resultados demuestran cuánto está expuesto el profesional a numerosos tipos de violencia, verbal, física, grosería, insultos, psicológicos, dientes, otros. Finalmente, la violencia en el entorno laboral hace que los profesionales de enfermería sean vulnerables a desarrollar problemas de salud, que involucren problemas físicos y / o psicológicos, que pueden influir en el desempeño de las tareas y rutinas de su trabajo y también en su cuidado.Violência afeta a dignidade de profissionais no mundo, como fonte de desigualdade, discriminação, estigmatizarão e conflito no trabalho. A violência, seja física ou psicológica, é um problema que atravessa as fronteiras, contextos de trabalho e grupos de profissionais. Objetivou-se identificar os mais frequentes tipos de violência ocupacional sofrida por trabalhadores de enfermagem e como os riscos podem afetar no processo laboral. Trata-se de uma pesquisa tipo exploratória com abordagem qualitativa, tendo por cenário o setor de emergência de Hospital Universitário localizado no interior do Rio de Janeiro. Participaram 18 profissionais de enfermagem, de ambos os sexos. Com utilização de um questionário para obtenção dos dados. Foram respeitados os aspectos éticos da pesquisa, aprovado com parecer número 3.295.302. Com tratamento dos dados por meio da leitura analítica dos dados com base no referencial da Análise do Conteúdo de Bardin e pelas Diretrizes vigentes do Ministério da Saúde sobre Violência no Trabalho no Setor da Saúde. Os resultados demonstram o quanto há exposição do profissional a inúmeros tipos de violência, verbal, física, grosserias, xingamentos, psicológica, dente outras.
