School dropout in middle-level technical vocational education: an in-depth look at two major villains - the lack of information and the lack of technical education identity

Resumo: The professional technical education of medium level has experienced in the last years wide expansion in the offer of vacancies, however, this process has been accompanied by an old known problem - the phenomenon of school dropout. In this sense, it is believed that it is necessary to know the elements that contribute to this problem being maintained; because understanding the problem is the best way to think of strategies to deal with avoidance. The aim of this article is to analyze the possible measures to be adopted to minimize the phenomenon of evasion in technical secondary education. The article presents a qualitative approach on the situation of school dropout, and a simplified diagnosis was developed through bibliographical research on the relevant aspects that have contributed to the technical education students abandoning their courses, as well as an attempt to understand What can be done. Throughout the work, we tried to interpret the problem through the bibliography of important authors such as, for example, Rosemary Dore, who currently, in the Brazilian educational scene, has been dedicated to understand the phenomenon of school dropout in the specificities of technical vocational education of medium level. It was identified in this study that the absence of information has made it difficult to confront and minimize the effects of the problem, and also that the lack of technical education has contributed to the young people giving up their courses. It is concluded that further research on evasion in the area of technical education is necessary, and especially the need for technical training to have its own identity and that one of the ways of constructing this identity is a type of integral training and humanized, far from the idea of training merely submissive to the labor market.

En este sentido, se cree que es necesario conocer los elementos que contribuyen a que tal problema se mantenga; pues, comprender la problemática es el mejor camino para pensar en estrategias para enfrentar la evasión. El objetivo pretendido por el presente artículo es analizar las posibles medidas a ser adoptadas para minimizar el fenómeno de la evasión en la educación profesional técnica de nivel medio. El artículo presenta un abordaje cualitativo sobre la situación de la evasión escolar y se ha desarrollado a través de investigación bibliográfica un diagnóstico simplificado sobre los relevantes aspectos que ha contribuido a que los estudiantes de enseñanza técnica abandonen sus cursos y se ha desarrollado un intento de comprender lo que se puede hacer. A lo largo del trabajo, se intentó interpretar la problemática a través de la bibliografía de autores importantes como, por ejemplo, Rosemary Dore, que actualmente, en el escenario educativo brasileño, se ha dedicado a comprender el fenómeno de la evasión escolar en las especificidades de la enseñanza profesional técnica de nivel medio. Se identificó en este trabajo que la ausencia de informaciones ha dificultado el enfrentamiento y la minimización de los efectos del problema, y que la falta de identidad de la enseñanza técnica ha contribuido a que los jóvenes desistan de sus cursos. Se llega a la conclusión de que es necesario el desarrollo de más investigaciones sobre la evasión en el área de la enseñanza técnica, y principalmente, la necesidad de que la formación técnica tenga una identidad propia y que una de las formas de construcción de esta identidad es un tipo de formación integral y humanizada, lejos de la idea de formación meramente sumisa al mercado de trabajo.A educação profissional técnica de nível médio tem vivenciado nos últimos anos ampla expansão na oferta de vagas; no entanto, esse processo vem sendo acompanhado também por um velho problema conhecido – o fenômeno da evasão escolar. Neste sentido, acredita-se que é preciso conhecer os elementos que contribuem para que tal problema se mantenha; pois, compreender a problemática é o melhor caminho para se pensar em estratégias para enfrentar a evasão. O objetivo pretendido pelo presente artigo é analisar as possíveis medidas a serem adotadas para minimizar o fenômeno da evasão na educação profissional técnica de nível médio. O artigo apresenta uma abordagem qualitativa sobre a situação da evasão escolar e foi desenvolvido através de pesquisa bibliográfica um diagnóstico simplificado sobre os relevantes aspectos que tem contribuído para que os estudantes de ensino técnico abandonem seus cursos, bem como, desenvolveu-se uma tentativa de compreender o que pode ser feito. Ao longo do trabalho, procurou-se interpretar a problemática através da bibliografia de autores importantes como, por exemplo, Rosemary Dore, que atualmente, no cenário educacional brasileiro, tem-se dedicado a compreender o fenômeno da evasão escolar nas especificidades do ensino profissional técnico de nível médio. Identificou-se neste trabalho que a ausência de informações tem dificultado o enfrentamento e a minimização dos efeitos do problema, e ainda, que a falta de identidade do ensino técnico tem contribuído para que os jovens desistam de seus cursos.
