Comparison of the hot tub with the hygiene bath after invasive procedures

Resumo: Objective: compare the use of the hot tub with the hygiene bath after invasive procedures. Merhodology: this is an uncontrolled experimental study with a quantitative approach carried out with newborns and infants. Comparative behavioral and vital signs assessment was performed before and after a hygiene bath and with the use of a hot tub. The McNemar test was used, considering a 95% confidence interval. Results: 10 evaluation werw recorded, being 5 from the control group (hygiene bath) and 5 from the experimental group (hot tub). There was an improvement in the behavioral status of newborns and infants after bathing in the hot tub compared to hygiene, a significant difference was noted in the variables: crying (p =0.046) and collaborating passively (p = 0.046). A significant difference in temperature was obtained (p = 0.039). Conclusion: the hot tub bath proved to be a relevant technique for improving vital parameters and improving the behavioral state of the child in the hospitalization process, leaving them calmer and more calm.

Metodologia: se trata de um estúdio experimental no controlado con abordaje cuantitativo realizado con recién nascidos y lactantes. Se realizo uma evaluación comparativa del comportamento y los signos vitales antes y después de um baño higiénico y con el uso de uma bañera de hidromasaje. Se utilizo la prueba de McNemar, considerando um intervalo de confianza del 95%. Resultados: se registraron 10 evaluciones, siendo 5 del grupo control (baño higiénico) y 5 del grupo experimental (jacuzzi). Hubo una mejora en el estado conductual de los recién nacidos y lactantes después de bañarse em la tina de hidromasaje em comparación com la higiene, se notó una diferencia significativa en las variables: llanto ( p = 0.046) y colaborar passivamente (p = 0.046). Se obtuvo una diferencia significativa de temperatura (p = 0,039). Conclusión: el baño de hidromasaje resultó ser uma técnica relevante para mejorar parâmetros vitales y mejorar el estado de comportamento del niño en el proceso de hospitalización, dejándolo más tranquilo y calmado.Objetivo: comparar o uso do ofurô com o banho de higiene após procedimentos invasivos. Metodologia: trata-se de um estudo experimental não-controlado com abordagem quantitativa realizado com recém-nascidos e lactentes. Foi realizada avaliação comparativa comportamental e de sinais vitais antes e após banho de higiene e com o uso de ofurô. Foi utilizado o teste de McNemar, considerando um intervalo de confiança de 95%. Resultados: foram registradas 10 avaliações, sendo 05 do grupo controle (banho de higiene) e 05 experimental (banho de ofurô). Foi verificada uma melhora no estado comportamental dos recém-nascidos e lactentes após o banho de ofurô em comparação com o de higiene, percebeu-se uma diferença significativa nas variáveis: choro (p=0,046) e colabora passivamente (p=0,046). Obteve-se uma diferença significativa na temperatura (p=0,039).
