Resumo: The objective was to investigate the frequency of cardiovascular risk factors (CRF) and cardiovascular complications in hypertensive adults from Maceió-AL, with data from two cross-sectional studies (2007/2009 and 2013/2016). CVRF was analyzed: smoking, physical inactivity, family history, short stature, overweight/obesity (OW/OB), obesity (OB), waist / height ratio (WHR), taper index (TI) and abdominal obesity (AO), and ACV: kidney disease (KD), acute myocardial infarction, coronary disease and stroke. Prevalence ratio was analyzed using Poisson regression, with robust adjustment of variance in crude and multivariate analysis. WHR, AO, TI, OW/OB, physical inactivity and family history had the highest prevalence: 91.59%, 83.17%, 85.85%, 86.33%, 68.44 and 63.64% respectively. Regarding the evolution in the prevalence between the two cuts in the time after adjustment for sex  and age, physical inactivity (PR=1,35; CI95%: 1,02-1,77) e OW/OB (PR=1,17; CI95%: 1,04-1,32) showed an increase and WHR (PR=0,87; CI95%: 0,81-0,94) significant reductions. The increase in excess weight and inactivity among hypertensive individuals, even with a reduction in WHR, indicates vulnerability in pressure control in this group at high cardiovascular risk.

The increase in excess weight and inactivity among hypertensive individuals, even with a reduction in WHR, indicates vulnerability in pressure control in this group at high cardiovascular risk. Analisou-se FRCV: tabagismo, sedentarismo, antecedentes familiares, baixa estatura, sobrepeso/obesidade (SBP/OB), obesidade (OB), razão cintura/estatura (RCE), índice de conicidade (IC) e obesidade abdominal (OA), e complicações cardiovasculares: doença renal (DR), infarto agudo do miocárdio, outras coronariopatias e acidente vascular cerebral. Research, Society and Development2022-01-26info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/2404110.33448/rsd-v11i2.24041Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 2; e30611224041Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 2; e30611224041Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 2; e306112240412525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/24041/22577Copyright (c) 2022 Raphael Henrique Maciel Gomes; Sandra Mary Lima Vasconcelos; Ewerton Amorim dos Santoshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessGomes, Raphael Henrique MacielVasconcelos, Sandra Mary Lima Santos, Ewerton Amorim dos2022-02-07T01:42:50Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/24041Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:42:43.516826Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
