Monitoring of erosive processes near the Serenata Waterfall, in Itambé do Mato Dentro/MG, using nuclearing techniques for its stabilization

Resumo: The erosive processes cause the loss of soil, reducing its fertility and silting up water’s courses. In the region of the Serenata Waterfall, in the municipality of Itambé do Mato Dentro/MG, there are several erosive processes that can cause negatively impact in the tourist potential of this waterfall. In this way, this research aimed to monitor the advance of an erosive process by means of experimental plots and application of the nucleating techniques for its stabilization. For that, the research was carried out by means of the qualitative-quantitative approach, of the descriptive type, carrying out activities in the field, having as universe of the research all the erosive processes in a slope in the region of Cachoeira da Serenata, being chosen a ravine as a practical sample, applying the criterion of non-probabilistic sampling for accessibility. Thus, data collection was used for observation and experimental research, and for data treatment, content analysis and descriptive statistics. Thus, through the satellite image analysis of the years 2006 to 2013, we observed the presence of grazing area and erosive processes in the region of Cachoeira da Serenata, in addition to the 115-meter-long increase in one of the analyzed ravines. During the above-mentioned period, the factors determining the formation of erosive processes, the fragile sandy texture of the soil, the topographic differences of the studied slope, rainfall, sparse vegetation that does not protect the whole soil and infiltration, responsible for the erosion process in the region of Serenata Waterfall. In order to monitor the erosion processes, cuttings and erosion pins were used in experimental plots. It was possible to observe that the plots arranged in a vegetated area did not change, whereas the plots of the vegetation had the largest soil transport in the eleven plots. A total of 12mm of transport, emphasizing the importance of the vegetal cover. Soil transport, artificial perches and transposition of branches to control the erosion process were applied as nucleation techniques. It was possible to perceive the germination of plants and reduction of soil transport due to palisades during two months of application of the techniques.

En la región de la Cachoeira da Serenata, en el municipio de Itambé do Mato dentro / MG, se encuentran diversos procesos erosivos que pueden impactar negativamente en el potencial turístico de esa cascada. De esta forma, esta investigación visó monitorear el avance de un proceso erosivo por medio de parcelas experimentales y aplicación de las técnicas nucleadoras para su estabilización. Para ello, la investigación fue realizada por medio del abordaje cuali-cuantitativo, del tipo descriptivo, realizando actividades en campo, teniendo como universo de la investigación todos los procesos erosivos en una vertiente en la región de la Cachoeira de la Serenata, siendo elegido una barranca como muestra práctica , aplicando el criterio de muestreo no probabilístico por accesibilidad. Así, fueron utilizadas como recolección de datos la observación e investigación experimental, y para tratamiento de los datos el análisis de contenido y estadística descriptiva. De esta forma, por medio del análisis de imágenes de satélites de los años 2006 y 2013, se notó la presencia de área de pastoreo y procesos erosivos en la región de la Cachoeira da Serenata, además del aumento de 115 metros de longitud en una de las ravinas analizadas . En el período anterior, se identificaron los factores condicionantes para la formación de los procesos erosivos, la frágil textura arenosa del suelo, los desniveles topográficos de la vertiente en estudio, lluvia, vegetación escasa que no protege el suelo en su totalidad e infiltración, responsables del avance del avance proceso erosivo en la región de la Cascada de la Serenata. Para el monitoreo de los procesos erosivos se utilizaron estacas y pines de erosión en parcelas experimentales, siendo posible notar que los pines dispuestos en un área vegetal no sufrieron variaciones, mientras que los pines de la parcela sin vegetación tuvieron el mayor transporte de suelo en el pino once, total de 12 milímetros de transporte, destacando la importancia de la cobertura vegetal. Se aplicaron como técnicas de nucleación el transporte de suelo, perillas artificiales y transposición de ramas para el control del proceso erosivo, siendo posible percibir la germinación de plantas y reducir el transporte de suelo debido a las palia, durante dos meses de la aplicación de las técnicas.Os processos erosivos acarretam a perda de solo, diminuindo sua fertilidade e assoreando corpos hídricos. Na região da Cachoeira da Serenata, no município de Itambé do Mato Dentro/MG, são encontrados diversos processos erosivos que podem impactar negativamente no potencial turístico dessa cachoeira. Desta forma, esta pesquisa visou monitorar o avanço de um processo erosivo por meio de parcelas experimentais e aplicação das técnicas nucleadoras para sua estabilização. Para tanto, a pesquisa foi realizada por meio da abordagem quali-quantitativa, do tipo descritiva, realizando atividades em campo, tendo como universo da pesquisa todos os processos erosivos em uma vertente na região da Cachoeira da Serenata, sendo escolhido uma ravina como amostra prática, aplicando o critério de amostragem não probabilístico por acessibilidade. Assim, foram utilizadas como coleta de dados a observação e pesquisa experimental, e para tratamento dos dados a análise de conteúdo e estatística descritiva. Dessa forma, por meio da análise de imagens de satélites dos anos de 2006 e 2013, notou-se a presença de área de pastagem e processos erosivos na região da Cachoeira da Serenata, além do aumento de 115 metros de comprimento em uma das ravinas analisadas. Durante o período supracitado, foram identificados os fatores condicionantes para a formação dos processos erosivos, a frágil textura arenosa do solo, os desníveis topográficos da vertente em estudo, chuva, vegetação escassa que não protege o solo ao todo e infiltração, responsáveis pelo avanço do processo erosivo na região da Cachoeira da Serenata. Para o monitoramento dos processos erosivos foram utilizados estacas e pinos de erosão em parcelas experimentais, sendo possível notar que os pinos dispostos em uma área vegetada não sofreram variações, enquanto os pinos da parcela sem vegetação tiveram o maior transporte de solo no pino onze, no total de 12 milímetros de transporte, salientando a importância da cobertura vegetal.
