Resilience among higher education students in mandatory preventive social distance during the Covid-19 pandemic

Resumo: | The panorama of the pandemic that afflicts the world since the first quarter of 2020 by the pathogenic agent coronavirus (Covid-19). The research aimed to measure the resilience scores among academics, from Higher Education, in mandatory preventive social distancing the Covid-19 pandemic. Quantitative exploratory study, carried out from November 2021 to April 2022. There were 85 academics from different areas of higher education institutions, aged between 18 and 47 years. Among the students, 32.9% were female and 76.1% were male. The instruments for data collection were: a questionnaire with sociodemographic data and the Resilience Scale (ER). The results show a higher prevalence in females to a moderately high resilience, in relation to males. We can say that at ages under 20, resilience remains low, being moderately high at ages 26 to over 30 years. Religious practice regarding the high level of resilience, which can be observed among Catholics, Evangelicals and Spiritists, also stands out in the high resilience parameters. It is noticed that the level of resilience can vary mainly in humanities and exact courses there is a very high resilience. Health courses showing a moderately high resilience rate of 14.1%. The courses in the area of Exact Sciences have shown a high resilience compared to other courses, with a percentage of 10.6%. It is necessary to implement student policies that promote mental health and psychological care. |

La investigación tuvo como objetivo medir los puntajes de resiliencia entre académicos, de la Educación Superior, en el distanciamiento social preventivo obligatorio la pandemia de Covid-19. Estudio exploratorio cuantitativo, realizado de noviembre de 2021 a abril de 2022. Participaron 85 académicos de diferentes áreas de instituciones de educación superior, con edades entre 18 y 47 años. Entre los estudiantes, el 32,9% eran mujeres y el 76,1% eran hombres. Los instrumentos para la recolección de datos fueron: un cuestionario con datos sociodemográficos y la Escala de Resiliencia (ER). Los resultados muestran una mayor prevalencia en el sexo femenino a una resiliencia moderadamente alta, en relación al sexo masculino. Podemos decir que en edades menores de 20 años, la resiliencia sigue siendo baja, siendo moderadamente alta en edades de 26 a mayores de 30 años. La práctica religiosa en cuanto al alto nivel de resiliencia, que se puede observar entre católicos, evangélicos y espíritas, también se destaca en los parámetros de alta resiliencia. Se nota que el nivel de resiliencia puede variar principalmente en humanidades y cursos exactos hay una resiliencia muy alta. Cursos de salud que muestran una tasa de resiliencia moderadamente alta del 14,1%. Los cursos del área de Ciencias Exactas han mostrado una alta resiliencia frente a otros cursos, con un porcentaje del 10,6%. Estudo exploratório quantitativa, realizado no período de novembro de 2021 a Abril de 2022. Foram 85 acadêmicos de diversas áreas das instituições de ensino superior, com faixa etária entre 18 a 47 anos. Dentre os estudantes 32,9% do sexo feminino e 76,1% do sexo masculino. Os instrumentos para a coleta de dados foram: um questionário com os dados sócio- demográficos e a Escala de Resiliência (ER). Os resultados demostram maior prevalência no sexo feminino a uma resiliência moderadamente alta, em relação ao masculino. Podemos afirmar que as idades menores de 20 anos a resiliência permanecem baixa, sendo moderadamente alta nas idades de 26 até maiores de 30 anos. A prática religiosa quanto ao nível de resiliência alta podendo ser observado entre os católicos, nos evangélicos e espíritas também sobressai nos parâmetros alta resiliência. Percebe-se que o nível de resiliência pode variar principalmente nos cursos de humanas e exatas há uma resiliência muito alta. Os cursos da área de saúde apresentando uma taxa de 14, 1 % de resiliência moderadamente alta. Os cursos da área de Exatas tem se mostrado com uma resiliência alta diante dos demais cursos, apresentando o percentual de 10,6%.
