Resumo: Objective: to develop a protocol for attending cardiopulmonary arrest in the hemodialysis unit to be used by health professionals. Method: exploratory, qualitative study, using Convergent-Assistance Research as a method. The setting was a hospital in the state of Rio de Janeiro, where an individual interview was conducted recorded from a semi-structured script with 22 nursing professionals in the hemodialysis sector. The data were analyzed according to the steps proposed by the method, emerging the category guiding care: elaboration of a Standard Operational Protocol on cardiorespiratory arrest in hemodialysis. Results: professionals do not feel safe to act in a cardiopulmonary arrest during hemodialysis, as they reported that the necessary supplies and periodic training are lacking, hindering the safe care provided to the patient. Final considerations: the Operational Protocol will serve as a guide for good care practices that should be performed at the time of cardiorespiratory arrest during hemodialysis.

Research, Society and Development2020-04-03info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/335610.33448/rsd-v9i5.3356Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 5; e172953356Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 5; e172953356Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 5; e1729533562525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3356/4737Copyright (c) 2020 Luciana Pinheiro Beloni, Joyce Martins Arimatéa Branco Tavares, Ronilson Gonçalves Rocha, Eric Rosa Pereira, Silvia Maria de Sá Basilio Lins, Priscilla Valladares Broca, Dennis de Carvalho Ferreira, Bruna Maiara Ferreira Barreto Pires, Joabe Costa Silvainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBeloni, Luciana PinheiroTavares, Joyce Martins Arimatéa BrancoRocha, Ronilson GonçalvesPereira, Eric RosaLins, Silvia Maria de Sá BasilioBroca, Priscilla ValladaresFerreira, Dennis de CarvalhoPires, Bruna Maiara Ferreira BarretoSilva, Joabe Costa e2020-08-20T18:06:36Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/3356Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:27:34.855823Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
