Mapping of the use and coverage of the soil in mesoregions of the State of Rondônia

Resumo: Due to its extension, the Amazon region is composed of an intricate mosaic of environments, defined not only by the heterogeneity of its ecosystems, but also by the process of occupation and development. Based on this aspect, the growth of populations and the expansion of urban areas worldwide have increased the use and defined changes in land cover. Thus, the objective of this work was to carry out the mapping of land use and cover in the surroundings of Rondônia. The study was carried out in the municipalities of Corumbiara, Chupinguaia and Cerejeiras, these located in the south of the state of Rondônia, where the images used for the analyzes were acquired on the platform of the General Image Division (GID) of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) , 1990 images of the TM (Thematic Mapper) sensor on board the Landsat-5 satellite, and 2017 of the OLI sensor (Operational land imager) on the Landsat-8 satellite, characterized by a spatial resolution of 30 meters and temporal resolution of 16 days. The results showed an area with significant deforestation, where approximately 2/4 of the total territory of the municipalities had their original vegetation removed and, thus, shows an irregularity when compared with the environmental legislation (Law nº 12.651 / 2012).

En base a este aspecto, el crecimiento de las poblaciones y la expansión de las áreas urbanas en todo el mundo han aumentado el uso y los cambios definidos en la cobertura del suelo. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo fue llevar a cabo el mapeo del uso de la tierra y la cobertura en los alrededores de Rondônia. El estudio se realizó en los municipios de Corumbiara, Chupinguaia y Cerejeiras, ubicados en el sur del estado de Rondônia, donde las imágenes utilizadas para los análisis se adquirieron en la plataforma de la División de Imagen General (DIG) del Instituto Nacional de Investigación Espacial (INPE) , 1990 imágenes del sensor TM (Thematic Mapper) a bordo del satélite Landsat-5, y 2017 del sensor OLI (Operational land imager) en el satélite Landsat-8, caracterizado por una resolución espacial de 30 metros y una resolución temporal de 16 días Los resultados mostraron un área con deforestación significativa, donde aproximadamente 2/4 del territorio total de los municipios tuvieron su vegetación original eliminada y, por lo tanto, muestra una irregularidad en comparación con la legislación ambiental (Ley nº 12.651 / 2012).A região Amazônica devido a sua extensão, é composta por um intrincado mosaico de ambientes, definido não só pela heterogeneidade dos seus ecossistemas, como também pelo processo de ocupação e desenvolvimento. Com base em tal aspecto, o crescimento das populações e a expansão das áreas urbanas em todo o mundo têm elevado o uso e definido transformações na cobertura do solo. Assim objetivou-se com este trabalho realizar o mapeamento de uso e cobertura do solo nos arredores de Rondônia. O estudo foi realizado nos municípios de Corumbiara, Chupinguaia e Cerejeiras, estes localizados no sul do estado de Rondônia, onde as imagens utilizadas para as análises foram adquiridas na plataforma da Divisão Geral de Imagens (DGI) do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE), imagens de 1990 do sensor TM (Thematic Mapper) a bordo do satélite Landsat-5, e de 2017 do sensor OLI (Operational land imager) a bordo do satélite Landsat-8, caracterizados por uma resolução espacial de 30 metros e resolução temporal de 16 dias.
